" I " - HOP ... yahh we hopped .. for abt 40 miles . !!!!!!

Last nite 5 of us went out for a movie " get smart " . We were late so we had to kill are desire to eat early and do some stuff later. It was 12:30 am when the movie got over.
At that time IHOP ( International House of Pancakes ) was the best option we had. And believe me our stomachs were growling hard for that awesome " chicken Fajita omelette " and the super soft pancakes they serve.
So we fed our classy Honda GPS the location of the IHOP which has the best service here. But like any other hifi gadjet it failed to show up the results. In the end we went to the nearest IHOP, which was about 7 miles away from where we were. When we rached there it was all full. 20 out of 22 tables were occupied.
We had to leave for the IHOP we had planed to visit earlier. Luckily we now got it on the GPS. It was 12 miles from that place.
Our bad luck contiued .. we reached there and it was closed. Dammmm
it was now 1: 30 am.
We tried for the third IHOP which was again ... 12-13 miles drive. And we all drove 13 miles for nothing. We couldnt find any " IHOP " there. Marred by luck, we decided to go back to the packed IHOP. And it was againg 13 miles from that place. ( talk about how lucky 13 is ).

In the end we had our dinner @ 2:30 am. But it was worth waiting. We came home around 4 am.
And the 7 hr nap was just what the doc ordered.

That sums up my Hopping dinener ... @ IHOP.

PS : the late nite drive reminded me of my undergrad days in India. Coffee @ 1am in Guffaa and the tea and poha @ 3 am in shankarnagar. I miss those days.

Hmm.. Gps.. pancakes.. Things people like us in third world countries can only dream about.. Wonder how pancakes taste like.. But yes, those late night excursions in Nagpur were fun.. And even I miss those days.
